• Aluminum PCB protection backplane, optionally coated in 24K silver, works
for cooling down the adapter and protecting the asset.
It protects your adapter’s PCB from accidental scratches, mechanical damages, static
electricity and damages when you operate it outside of your PC.
For example, when you use the USB to PCi-Express type Mini-Card functionality.
You can put the adapter on its backside without fearing electro-static discharges
created by moving or handling your adapter on certain types of surfaces and
materials, such as polished table.
Additionally it protects components placed on the bottom side of PCB from
accidental damages or destruction.
The backplane increases dramatically the overall robustness of the adapter.
• 24 karat gold plated screws (optional) not only look unique and exclusive, but
also possesses better grounding capability for the adapter by bonding PCB to silver-
coated grounding plates with high conductive gold-coated screws.
• Developed and tested especially for Mac OS X users (10.4 / 10.5 / 10.6 / 10.7

The special tests have been conducted during manufacturing in order to meet Mac
OS X users’ requirements.
